There are 23 of these Vekoma MK-1200 looping coasters currently operating in parks the world over, but most vary in one way or another. What seperates ths one from others is the long stretch of straight track leading into the first loop and the minimal speed (37 mph) in which it enters the second loop. Did you know that in 2009 the former seven car trains were replaced by the six car trains taken from the old Corkscrew coaster at Alton Towers? Big Loop is a custom layout Vekoma Looping Coaster that opened at Heide Park, Germany in 1983. The ride stands at 98ft tall and has a total track length of 2,316ft. Big Loop features 4 inversions and is located in a spectacular location next to the park. In 2010 the trains on Big Loop were replaced. One of the new trains on Big Loop used to run on The Corkscrew at Alton Towers! Als erste Achterbahn im noch jungen Heide Park wurde direkt eine Bahn der Superlative für die damalige Zeit errichtet. 1983 eröffnete mit Big Loop eine der größten Loopingachterbahnen Europas. Vekoma produzierte die Stahlkonstruktion für den MK-1200 und Arrow lieferte die Züge dafür. Die Bahn hat eine Höhe von 30 m und eine Streckenlänge von 704 m. 2010 wurden die Züge gegen neuere von Vekoma getauscht. Seitdem hat Big Loop nur noch sechs statt sieben Wagen. Hier bin ich auf der Big Loop im Heide Park Resort. Eine schöne Stahlachterbahn, die 1983 als erste Achterbahn des Parks eröffnet wurde. Macht sehr viel Spaß! Auch einer meiner Lieblingsachterbahnen im Park. Auf einer Strecke von 706 metern durchfahren die Fahrgäste vier Inversionen: zwei Loopings und der doppelte Korkenzieher, die aus zwei coolen aneinandergereihten Korkenziehern bestehen.;-) Here I am on the Big Loop at Heide Park Resort. A beautiful steel coaster that opened in 1983 as the park's first roller coaster. Very much fun! Also one of my favorite coasters in the park. After over 3 year of research, determination and hard work, Matt managed to find everything he needed to make it happen on his mountain bike. Built in a month at the Garden Route Trail Park in South Africa, the gigantic structure rises up to 40 ft. in the sky. The MTB crash left him with 10 fractures in his right wrist and 3 fractures in his right ankle. The story behind his stunt is as impactful as the structure itself. A real story of determination. After spending a week in a South African hospital, Matt is now home in Ontario, working on his rehabilitation to get back on his Mountain Bike. Just as he started to walk again, we catched up with him to get his version of this incredible story. This video footage was shot during the 1st day of the infamous Big Loop Rodeo, in Jordan Valley, Oregon. Having already been exposed by SHARK cameras a year earlier, Big Loop supporters took revenge the following day by violently arresting the SHARK investigator, suddenly claiming no cameras were allowed. An article in the Eugene Weekly, however, exposed that the rodeo announcer stated that the rule applied only to animal rights activists and other outsiders. There are three factors to animal abuse - cruelty, cowardice and corruption, and the Big Loop Rodeo and its protectors from the Malheur County Sheriff's Department have displayed those negative traits in abundance.
