Inkscape is professional, free, open source Vector Graphics software. Notes from this tutorial: ⦁ To move the Inkscape page up and down: use the scroll wheel in the mouse. ⦁ To move the page around: Hold down the scroll wheel in the mouse. ⦁ To zoom in or out the page: Hold down the Ctrl key in your keyboard and use the scroll wheel in the mouse. ⦁ To draw an object, use the objects bar at the left: click on the arrow first, then select the object you want to drag into the page, like a square, circle, etc.. ⦁ Once the object is on the page, click again in the arrow to have options to modify the object dimensions by dragging the small arrows. ⦁ We can deselect the object by clicking in white space on the page or the scape key in the keyboard. By clicking on the object it will show the arrows again. ⦁ While is selected, if we left-click on the object again, it will show a different set of arrows that will allow us to change skew and rotation of the object. ⦁ The + sign in the center of the object act as a rotation axel, mining the object will rotate around it. That + sign could be moved even outside of the page and the object will rotate around it when using the rotation arrows. ⦁ We can change the color of an object by selecting it on the colors bar. ⦁ By holding down the shift key and selecting a color we can change the stroke color or borders of the object. This mini video tutorial from 2Dgameartguru.com is on creating easy-to-pose stickmen with basic shapes and strokes in Inkscape v1.3. In this short video, I apply easy-to-use tools to create and pose a stickman by making the limps simple lines. The lines can be bent, curved, and repositioned quickly to put the stickman into a different pose. In the second part of the video, I add the Path Effect Power Stroke to the limbs to make them more dynamic. See more Inkscape and Affinity Designer tutorials on the website at 🤍. This video is for those of you who may be using Inkscape with a lower resolution screen. You may notice that the toolbar on the lower left-hand side of your menu is being cut off, and because of that you can't access all of your tools. To fix this problem, all you have to do is pull the menu out by clicking and dragging it and the tools are then placed into multiple vertical columns, allowing you to access them. If you're not able to pull your menu out like this then be sure to upgrade to the latest version of Inkscape here: 🤍 Additionally, you may notice that some of your system tools are missing from the toolbar at the top of your screen. This is because of a layout change in the latest version of Inkscape that now places those tools on the right-hand side of your screen by default. To revert back to the classic mode, all you have to do is disable Wide Screen mode by going to View and deselecting Wide Screen, and then your system tools should accessible.
